Vietnam visa from Cambodia

Question:

Hello, I am an American citizen currently working and living in Vietnam. I will be visiting Phnom Penh in December (by bus) and Siem Reap in February (by plane) and returning each time back to Vietnam. I currently have a B3, single entry, 3 month visa for Vietnam which has been extended once and is valid until January 23, 2013. What is the best way to get a renewal or extension that allows multiple entries for Vietnam from Cambodia? Can I extend my B3, single entry visa into a multiple entry visa when I am in PhnomPenh in December? Should I apply for a multiple entry 3 month tourist visa when I am in PhnomPenh in December? Should I arrange my new Vietnam visa before I leave to come to Cambodia? Thank you, Donna Anderson

Answer

Dear Donna Anderson,

Thank you for contacting us.

In your case, we suggest you to apply for a new multiple entry visa to Vietnam, so that you can enter or exit Vietnam as many times as you want during your Vietnam visa validity. You can apply for your Vietnam visa in Vietnam or in Cambodia, it is up to you. But you should apply for Vietnam visa 1 week before you enter Vietnam from Cambodia.

You can apply for Vietnam visa online with us if you first enter Vietnam by Air using this Vietnam visa on arrival. But if you first enter Vietnam by other means of transport, please contact the nearest Vietnam Embassy to apply for Vietnam visa.

We hope this information is clear to you.

Wish you all good things.

Kind regards,
