Hello, i have been many times in Vietnam for business and private reasons. 2 years ago I met a girl and since last year we are engaged. I am not sure when will we marry, but for the moment i am thinking to buy a small house. the house will be on my fiance's name. i am old enough, i know what i am doing and taking a risk by my free will. however, a question is: is there any way to stay, say, 6 months or longer for private reasons (tourist visa?) or there is only 3 months visa? If I have 3 months visa does it mean i can stay in Vietnam for 3 months? also (this is not your field, but just asking), in your experience, is there any problem we stay in the same apartment since we are not married? i heard some stories that police made problems for that and many other where there were no problems at all.

Vietnam Visa for Russians
I am Russian nationality and I understand that I do not need visa to enter Vietnam if stay in Vietnam less than 15 days. However, I am planning to travel to Vietnam in December this year, and I will be crossing border and entering Vietnam by bus coming from Cambodia (via Bavet cross border point). Will it be OK for me to cross border and enter Vietnam at that customs point coming from Cambodia without any visa issue?

Visa for transit in Ho Chi Minh City
Hi, we are travelling Melbourne to Paris on Vietnam airlines with a 6 hour stopover in Ho Chi Minh City, then onto Paris still on a VN flight and was wondering do we need a visa? Also on our return flight 9 weeks later we have a Vietnam airlines flight but it will be an Air France code share flight to Ho Chi Minh city with a 8 hour stop over before flying VN to Melbourne, we do not intend leaving the airport, do I need a visa for either of the transit stops in Vietnam??

Transit visa/multiple entry visa for ho chi Minh
Me and my girlfriend will be having a layover at ho chi Minh city from Sydney to London for 8 hours. Will we need a visa for this? I hold an UK passport while my girlfriend has an Australian passport. On the return leg, we will be having an layover at ho chi Minh again from london to Sydney for 13 hours. W will leave the airport for few hours. Will we need a visa for this? So overall, is it better for us to get an multiple entry visa and what is the price for this? Many thanks.

we are NZ Citizens cruising from Bangkok to HohChiMin City in November 2012, arriving 7am departing 6pm. Do we need a visa? do we need to apply before we leave NZ, or are these issued on board the cruise liner? Thank you
