I received an approval letter from my friend in Vietnam stating that I am allowed to enter and exit Vietnam for the purpose of business activity (multuple times in the period of 3 months. Is this treated as a business visa? What would be my stampinf fee once I get to Ho Chi Minh Airport?

Since you get a 3-month multiple entry visa, the stamping fee you must pay at the airport to get yor visa stamped is 50 USD.
