The Henley Passport Index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association and ranks 199 passports according to the number of countries their holders can visit visa-free or with a visa on arrival.

The improvement in Vietnam’s passport ranking is due to a number of factors, including the country’s growing economy and its increasing diplomatic ties with other countries. In recent years, Vietnam has also simplified its visa regulations for many countries, making it easier for foreign tourists to visit.

Vietnamese passport ranked 88th in January this year.

The improvement in Vietnam’s passport ranking is a positive development for the country’s tourism industry. It is also a sign of Vietnam’s growing international status.

Vietnam is currently launching a pilot e-Visa system for citizens from 80 countries.
